Yup,I remember somebody posting up at another board some of those monsters you guys catch.They look to be about the same size as some of our biggest bass here. 
hi grimlin,to be honest,although the record is 5lb 9oz this is still an extremely exceptional fish,2 to 3lb are fairly common,but a fish between 1 to 2lb is still regarded as a good fish. what i do find interesting is that you have 2 different types of perch,we only have 1 it is found all over britain from bottom to top of the country.
