fishing after the storm
« on: August 26, 2006, 11:42:57 AM »
yet another slow night on titicus.i guess since we fished the tail end of the storms today the fish were done going wild.it was windy as all hell for most of the night.thank god pete brought a drift sock.i have never fished with one before but i'm definately buying one now.a drift sock is a must for all reservoir fishermen.this thing slowed us down enough that we could actually do a controlled drift instead of fighting the stupid wind all night.so by the end of the night we boated 3 fish.2 were nice sized.pete had a 3- 8 and i had a 4-4.pete also had a huge fish blow up on a sammy and miss it.we tried to entice him into biting other lures also but that was it.i caught my 4-4 on a shakey head jig with a watermelon/chartreuse zoom trick worm.as you can see i was fishing it in some major weeds.thank god for sufix braid!!!
