Can somebody please tell me about these fish...i found a school of well over 50 to 100 swimming together.I was shocked and never saw this before. After getting my jig torn to heck with no hook ups,i switched over to a cranks and suspending jerkbaits with no takers.Never caught one of these and would like to someday.I i feel i missed out on some awesome action as this is the first time i witnessed that many.

This is the way Virgil Ward use to do it... Undo a six inch piece of 3/8" nylon rope leaving 1.5 to 2" solid(making a fuzzy skirt). Thread it onto a Johnson silver minnow spoon and chunk away! If you get a hit, don't be overly concerned about setting the hook. They will roll on it, which will entangle thier toofies. Take a sharp knife with you. ;D

I caught one on a jig head Friday that was about 2 foot long.   They are so skinny you can just reach around them.

need to check the rules on that on...wouldn't surprise me if we have seasons of when we can bowfish.Everything here seems to have open and close seasons.Bass season closes in dec. that i do know.
