How would you go about finding a new fishing buddy?
« on: December 15, 2006, 06:27:55 PM »
My neighbor (mid 70s) likes to crappie fish and can't seem to find anyone near his age to accompany him.  Neither he nor I have a clue as to where to start to find someone to fish with him.  I take him some but I am gone a lot.  Any ideas appreciated.

Put a add up at the local bait shop. A share expenses type thing or what ever he wants to put up. I don't see them often, but I see them every once in a while. It's usually older guys or handicapped gents.

Is he a member of a local lodge like a Moose Lodge or the Eagles?  If not he should check into it.  Lots of stuff to do there and he will will make many friends who I am sure would like to go fishing with him.

Not sure of any TBF or BASS crappie clubs but maybe he could start a crappie club.  Sounds like it would be fun.

Sounds like a lot of good ideas. I don't know where y'all fish but you might find someone there too. :)
