I'm devastated
« on: September 10, 2006, 04:17:56 PM »
The wife and I returned to the local park lake again about 9:45 this morning.  Took our 3 yr old grandson and his Spiderman rig with us.  He lasted about an hour and my wife took him home and returned.  Anyway, we spent almost 5 hours bank fishing today and I only had one bite, but no takers.   I had 2 rods with me and was switching between them with various plastics,  a couple of topwaters, and a buzzbait.  The wife caught one little bluegill.  About half-way into the day, 2 teenage girls and their father showed-up.  Within an hour they had caught 3 bluegill and a nice little spot.  They were using spincast rods and bobbers with worms.  Just goes to show it's not always the expensive gear that will get you some fish   ;) .  Still devastated me when she pulled in that Spot   :scratch   :)

WW, if you can get near a run-in it might work pretty well after a rain.
