I don't think there is a bad color
« on: February 27, 2011, 04:58:37 PM »
Bear and I went back to upper Table Rock today.  We spent a lot of time on a hot tip....nada.  I can't catch other guy's fish.  So we went back to lay downs.  There has been rain and the river is muddy so we didn't go more than 6 miles up it from the launch.

We caught 49 crappie (blacks, whites, and AR short nose) and 4 spots.  The baits that did not get used on Wednesday came out today and they rocked.  Getfished's color was Bear's main bait.  Mine was junebug and cotton candy.  I even caught some on the electric chicken with a pink head.  The fish were 5-15' down in the brushiest laydowns on the lake.  Most places produced 0-2 fish while 2 spots gave up 10 and 15 to save the day.

I sure am glad I bought the stinger mold and had the contest.

Ha, ha I bet you are ! That's good news. Glad you're gettin on em. I did manage to turned the 70 or 80 pieces back into one curado. I am mildly pleased if I say so . I may do the other 3.  Keep those reports coming.

Yes you are right. I have been to his business. My mother lives about 1.5 miles from him.  He serviced a few abus I used to use. He knows his stuff. I really had quite an adventure on this little project. Think about what a mid life crisis guy crawling around on his hands and knees looking for a screw small enough to fit under your fingernail would look like. Or maybe the look on his face when one of the E clips takes flight at just the wrong moment. It is no longer on my bucket list.  Now if I could just learn how to use that bird.
