Got up in time for the dawn patrol out on my river this morning for a little striper action!  Thought that the rain was ending but it stayed pretty constant for the three hours that i stayed.  Found a nice little rocky hump that popped up to 2-4' with nice dropoffs to 10-20 feet on both the up current and downcurrent sides.  The action was slower than I'd hoped but I did pick up 4 nice stripers all between 25-30"!  No pics because of the rain,..but it was a nice time and my arms were sore by the time I quit from both the big jerkbaits and the fish-fighting!  It's pretty cool to set the hook and then feel a fish strip line from a reel with 20lb fluoro and a tightly set drag!!

I do miss that fight since I moved from Va.  back to MI.  Glad you had fun !!

I have done that a couple of times and you are right, it will wear your arms out!
