Need some colors for crappie
« on: March 11, 2007, 08:42:17 AM »
Plane and simple I am not a crappie fisherman.  However, I might become one if all goes well.  I have been working off and on for since October on a bait I will choose to call the slab knocker.  It is my own personal version of baits called slab getter and slab hunter.  It has been a lengthy process but I finally can get them to pour.

NOW

What are good crappie colors?

My 'ol fishin buddy (my FIL) use to crappie fish on a daily basis(he lived on the lake). His favorite colors, as far as crappie plastics goes, are: chart w/black flake, chart, w/red flake, chart w/silver flake and solid black. All of these may seem all to common, But he wore them out on them.

Break out the grease and meal, and the slaw fixins!

My favorite colors for crappie are  chart or white.  Chart is stained water and white in clear.  Pretty much all I use.

Have you decided on the colors yet? If so, which colors are you going to produce? Neat looking little boogers!
