Paul Elias' record breaking total on Falcon Lake
« on: August 19, 2009, 05:22:11 PM »
he was culling 6.5 lb'ers. :o

Here are the youtube links to the three videos:

I don't think he got very much recognition for this event but I was glad to see him do well, and boy did he!

Culling 6.5 lb'ers!    :o .  You'd have to drag me off the water if I was catchin' 'em that size, lol.

Buzzbait, I think you could fish around the binion creek landing and catch 9 or 10 lbs. I've caught 2lb fish from the dock there when my boat wasn't running. There is enough grass and rip rap to hold fish.

I caught several 2-5 pound bass from one spot while fishing from the bank at Guntersville before. Now that was fun! And it was during 4th of July week.

I took the lil' two man to Guntersville a few years back and caught several. Caught 6-7 up to maybe 2.75lb. from around the Holiday Inn down to the bridge and back on Jigs and worms. In fact, theere's a marker right behind the Holiday Inn and thats where about half of those came from. I put in again at Water Front but only caight one and it was 3lbs or better(just over). The next day I went to the Park area and fished til noon over there(had to leave). I caught three or four?? and the biggest was 4lbs. I had one blow up on the buzz that morning that was in the neighborhood of 8-10 lbs :o. I didn't think it was too bad for the first visit and confined to a lil' two man.

Aren't we taking out of Paridise Point this time??

I'm glad he was able to stay in the ranks of the professionals over the years.

He was well over due for that win and i'm glad he won it. It is unfortunate that he did not get a whole lot of recognition for the win OR the record.
