Quick visit to Asheville
« on: October 16, 2006, 08:28:41 AM »
Yawn. G-mornin'. Drove back from Asheville, NC yesterday. Went down there last Thursday on a sudden decision to hang out with my sister for her B-Day while her hubb drove up here to see his mom...boy did he get in trouble leaving on her B-day (whoops, he'll pay for that one a while). Got to see the house they're building. Man did they ever do it right. That-there place is God's Country for sure! Man, if I could find a job there I'd be outta here in a heartbeat!

She took me to a small river by her house. I grabbed the ultralight (well of course I brought a couple rods and all my tackle!) tied on a little jig, added a little minnow body and threw right into the white-water and within a few casts she was fighting a rainbow. A few casts later we're checking out colors on the natives.  What a great trip!

No pics of the fish ::), but here's some shots from the trip.
