Ok lets get this over with. I bow to the River Rat Master's  :P . Congrats to Rat & Junior for winning 1st place in the Rat Tournament. Mike & Gary for 2nd place.

Was mighty tough out there today finding a keeper fish past the two dinks of any size. Got to hate when you cull your dinks and still have nothing but two dinks to weigh-in. Weather was nice, Water was muddy and the keeper fish refused to bite. Dan & I will claim 3rd place as no one else weighed in their two dinks.

Congrats to Cookie & Dad for 1st place & BF, Gary & Mike for 2nd place. Was a tough one for sure out there but My partner & I are still stuck on them 3rd place finishes. We landed a few bass but not enough to Git-R-Done. My partner had the winning fish on but she came off at the back of the boat .:-X She would have went 5+lbs easy. Was a very early bite but around 9am or so it was like someone turned a switch off. I think we got one more dink and thats it. Had two good under and one keeper to bring in plus one nice crappie. At least we did not get skunked out this time.  I feel we done good this year over all. I had a blast fishing this last tournament with BMD & all the guys. We always have fun and thats what counts in my book. I look forward to fishing next year in the all new River Rats. Rat will be the new president next year. I know we will have a lot more boats showing up now with him taking over these events.

Rat, Sorry you & Junior could not get a bite but thats the way it happens out there even to the best of us. Next year things will be a different ball game with the new stuff added in to make these tournaments even better. Just remember My parter BassDan and I will be back to give you two a run for your money once again. Thanks for taking over this club and I will help you with anything you need. Glad to have you back in the swing of things with us buddy.

BMD, Hey partner we done all we could for the home team but came up a little short. Its all part of this sport we call tournament fishing. I had a blast fishing these tournaments with ya this year and hope next year will even be better us. You are a great partner and one heck of an angler.  As you said today we can only get better from here on out to give Junior & Rat a good hard run for their money next year. Oh yeah don't forget we did not go out with a skunk like you know who did..  ;)

Congrats to Cookie & his Dad for 1st place with 9.2 lbs & BF weighing 6.13 lbs, Wahoo & Ray for 2nd place with 9.0 lbs.

Here is a picture of that 6.13 lb hawg:

BMD & I came in 3rd place but it does not pay in these tournaments. We fished our butts off landing a few this morning but we could only come up with two dinks and one keeper. Once the front came through it was over for us.

BMD,  Thanks once again for fishing these Rat tournaments with me. That sure was a nice 4.11 lb keeper you landed this morning. Wish we could have found a couple more like her to bring in but it was not meant to be. We will get them next month when we go to ENO River.

Good bass! I guessed your all's winning weight would have been just over 11 pounds :)

It would have been but a couple big ones were lost. A good net man is hard to find I tell ya...LOL I heard of at least 3 that got off right at the boat then two others said they got broke off. Last weekend it took 15 lbs to win in our main club tournament so I figured it would have took that again yesterday as well.

Congrats to Cookie & RC for 1st place with 23.11 lbs & BF weighing 5.9 lbs, David & Scott for 2nd place with 19.8 lbs. Here is the Results.

I have now found me a new favorite river! Man was this place a honey hole! Terry & I thought we was doing good with having a good limit weighing 12.0 lbs only to see what came into the scale. I am here to tell ya this place has some very nice bass in it. Morning was good weather but come 9am the wind kicked in and blowed everyone all over the place. Other then that we had a great tournament!  Here is some pictures for ya.

Cookie & RC 1st winning sack

David & Scott checking their weight

And here they are holding the 2nd place winning sack

Brian & Steve weighing their big one

Me and my partner won the rat tournament yesterday with 7.5 lbs! Was a nasty day to be on the water and rained on us about the whole tournament but we still Got-R-Done! Sorry no pictures this time as I did not want to trash my camera in the rain.
