Son's first fish
« on: July 04, 2008, 04:34:08 PM »
4" bluegill in second cast...Kid is gonna be a pro(hey i can dream)!

Hit a local lake that has a playground and a small lake. His attention span is probably a good 5 minutes before i lose him...so i figured better go after something daddy knows how to catch and train him like a pro. ;D ;)

He liked watching the baby ducks go diving under the water too.

All in all i got to spend some quality "son and daddy" time. I haven't been bluegill fishing in such a long time i forgot how fun that is as well.

That is what it's all about right there Grimlin! Congrats to you and your son!
That is huge! and I  do mean that!

If it weren't so hot as of lately, my youngest daughter would be out there with me. She is in the hunt for a largemouth and a spotted bass on here list of fish to catch. hehe, "THE" first time we went, we drove thirty miles to the ramp(to bank fish), walked across the parking lot with the mickey pole(her carrying it) turned around and went back to the truck and left for home, lol. But, that was just the start and she can now hang in there for a few hours(as long as something bites every once in a while)(I wonder where she gets that from,  ;D)

Again!, Congrats to yous!

Congratulations! When I take the kids fishing, I try to choose a place that has a playground.

He'll be hooked for sure.   :)

yep, this place has a playground and a small lake.Absolutely perfect for kids.

This time he wanted to do everything himself without help....didn't go too well, but never less we all still had fun.He caught 2 more, before he realize splashing his pole against the water is more fun.Which i had to stop because the people next to us were getting kinda annoyed with it and i was getting kinda nervous watching the hook flying around in the air.But they were good people and just laughed it off."They gotta start somehow" one guy yelled over to me.

I keep the rocks and hills for when i go alone fishing.

Priceless brother....congrats to you and the little man!  There'll be more where that came from.
There's a lot of things I ain't, and a bad fisherman is one of them.
