Hey guys...well on satuday i'll be camping near Ricketts Glen State Park and then fishing the Susquehana River. Well, I already googled trout fishing, came upwith a few articles. I found a nice rig to use... the lake (Lake Jean) is about 15 feet at deepest according to a report i read. Most articles were on river trout but i managed to find some lake trout info. The thing is, I want to have 2 rigs. With one I will be bassin'. The other one, I just want to let it sit there, with a bobber perhaps. he rod that I let sit will be my "dinner rod", and any legal fish that comes off that rod (which would be trout or walleye) should be very tasty. For trout I'll fish the morning... getting up at 4 and fishing till 3. I haven't researched walleye yet but I'm pretty sure the bite is best at night. So i will fish walleye when i get back from my smallie trip on susquehana (at about 9). To the point... I will be using a Light or Medium light rod- need help on choosing this. I know the park I usually fish has some stocked trout, and small catfish. I want to be able to use the rod I get later. I was thinking Medium light because i could catch walleye on that too. As to baits, I want something that sits still so I can work the bassin' lure on the other rod. For trout, it will be corn. What I need is a hook size. I'll figure a walleye bait in a bit, need more research. Line I was going to use 6 pound test for the trout, and 8 on another spool for walleye. Rod I don't know yet, reel is likely to be an Abu Garcia Cardinal 101. Any tips on technique and equipment would be appreciated

Please help me out here, I want to catch a new species very badly.


EDIT: Ok I did some research. Apparently July and August aren't the best times to fish walleye. However, I found that the walleye rig is the same rig as trout! So, here's the scenario. Walleye bite nightcrawlers... I'm thinking at night I bait the hook with trout worm. This way I can target both walleye and trout, possibly yellow perch. But I think regular nightcrawlers would work better. Now I am leaning much more to the side of medium light rod with 6 pound test on the Cardinal, but I would like to here your reccomendations.
