Need a descripiton of the what the colors mean, If it's how I think it looks, looks like about a few feet of bait fish all along the bottom with a few fish dipping in for a snack ???

Hardest colors return yellow, next hardest red, soft blue

Joe those shad were so thick that they would change the depthfinder reading.  It was saying 8-10' most of the time and I knew I was in 30 fow.

This is the same area where some fish had the shad stirred up.

Wow, that it a ton bait fish! Ok, the fish are feeding, what did you catch?
I once had my sonar (gray scale) turn complete gray, from top to bottom. I thought my unit had imploded! As I moved about I found that it was a huge school of bait. The only thing I could catch around them were Crappie.
