What kind of Munchies
« on: August 18, 2006, 11:58:09 AM »
Do you bring along in the boat with you?  If I'm going out all day I will cook some hot dogs before I leave and put them in a big thermos bottle.  Keeps them nice and hot.  Mustard and other snacks go into the cooler.  If I'm leaving before lunchtime I'll just bring along a couple of granola bars to hold me over.

We'll usually take some sodas & bottled water in the cooler. For eats there are snack crackers/granola bars, and a couple of peanut butter sandwiches.  Oh, and my thermos of coffee.  If the fish aren't biting I'll take a break and sit on the deck and have a cup of coffee and look at the scenery, then it's back to trying to catch something.

It differs for me, but on avg., I take a couple of sammiches, a small bag of chips, (sometimes)one soda pop (that pretty much covers a mid morning snack and lunch, I do not eat breakfast on outting days ;D), water galore and a gatorade or two sums up the rest of the day. Too, there just might be a pack of nutbutter crackers or a Rice krispy bar tagging along. :)

I'll usually take a 2 litre of Mt dew along, but since it has been so hot I have been sticking with plain ole water.

If butcher has in fresh liver sauage that is the way to go slices at .025 with pepper cheese and a soda, this is my #1 sandwich it is food for the body.  Jar if pig feet is good also if it is not to hot or if you keep them on ice.

That what I like good food and good company and catch a few bass.

I sometime think I go fishing just take a lunch.

The only thing I ever have on my boat is granola bars and bottled water.  I usually don't stay out all day long,..so all I need is a little something for when I get REALLY hungry.  I can stock the boat with a fair supply of them and they pretty much last forever,...that way I never have to worry about forgetting them! ;)

I always pack two sandwiches loaded to the hilt with two kinds of meat separated with cheese.  I also take a couple packs of nabs or a bag of chips. To wash all this down I take a couple code reds and lots of water.

We used to stop by White Castle and pick up a couple dozen "belly bombers" and throw them in the cooler.  When we got down to the resort cabin they would go into the microwave for about 20-30 seconds or so and then they were ready.  That was some good eating.
