What ya doin?
« on: January 01, 2007, 10:19:31 AM »
I decided to go to the local lake yesterday for awhile and wet a line, but it became a task rather than enjoyment.  I was the only one there again, and the wind was a bit brisk at times, but I was having fun.  After being there for about 30 minutes a fellow walking his dog came up and asked me what I was doing   ::) .  Told him just killing time.  He stayed for about 15 minutes just randomly talking.  After awhile another fellow on a scooter (moped) pulled up by me (I was fishing off the ramp then) and did the same thing, but didn't turn his scooter off, which quickly became annoying as he kept gunning the throttle.  He left and then one of my former co-workers young son came up on his bicycle.  No problem there, as I hadn't seen his dad in awhile and asked about him and family.  The wind finally started kicking up real good so I packed it in and left.

On the way home I deceided to stop and checkout Lake Pee Wee, which is only a mile from my house.  Once again, the only one there.  Fished from the dock for awhile (kinda windy out on the end), so I then moved to the boat ramp as it wasn't getting wind-blown as much.  A couple pull up in their car on the ramp! about 3 feet from me, he sticks his head out the window and asks "what ya doin?".  I started to tell him trying to retrieve my wife's car that rolled down the ramp but decided against it.  I put my rod in the truck and went home.

I usually don't mind talking to folks while I'm fishing, but yesterday was just too much.  Maybe I'm just getting cranky as the years go on, lol.    ;)

I wish you had called me. You could have saved me the pain of shopping for ceiling fans with the wife. Of course we bought a fan that has reversible blades and I asked, not once but twice, which side she wanted down. You can guess what?s next can?t you?
This morning I was informed she wants the other side down. And she decided that we need brighter light bulbs, which after another trip to Lowes, I have found that I had to order from Blubs.com.
So next time someone ask you ?whatch ya? doin?? tell them it don?t matter; you ain?t going through what another guy you know is!

BTW I liked the ?trying to get my wife?s car?!  ::2

Well....you could always buy some of those 12"x12" mirror tiles and apply them to the ceiling above the fan blades.  Then both sides of the blades would be visible  :) .  Just kiddding    ;)

(Don't tell her I said that, or she might smack me upside my head next time she sees me)

You should have just ignored them, I did it once and the guy came up to me and ask what is the matter with you not answering me.

I pointed to my ears and said I can not here you only see you lips moving.

Should have seen the look on his face...... >:D >:D >:D

I get those questions alot.  Be getting ready to go hunting/fishing and mom will say where ya going.  My typical answer standing in hunting gear I will say I'm going fishing vice versa.  Or I will just say I'm going to watch the tv.
