We usually see some elderly ladies fishing from the bank around our local water, but to be 80 and out on a boat fishing tourneys, well that's outstanding!    :)

Wonder if she's a descendant of the Little Ole' lady from Pasadena! Go Granny Go Granny Go Granny Go!
That's outstanding! It would be a trip if she drives the boat!

She was a co-angler. She did not make the final cut but she did make a check.  8)

That's really great! I wish she would have made the cut, though, and took home an even better check. Maybe she'll have better luck next time.

that's AMAZING! It's great to see people that old still in such great health out doing what they like.

My girlfriends grandma is the same way (she doesn't fish), but she is 83 and she gets up on a ladder and cleans the gutters, cuts her grass, etc... she does it all. She raised 3 kids in brooklyn, NY by herself (her husband died in the military). Up until she was 81 she would drive from port st. lucy, fl (about 2-3 hrs north of miami) to NY to visit her son who still lives there and is a lawyer (they finally so NO to letting her drive and makes her fly, which she still would rather drive). She still drives up to jacksonville to see my girlfriends family at her age. We went down there for a vacation one time and i swear she had more energy then I did. She goes to bed at 9:30 every night and wakes up at 5:30 every morning.....

God bless them...

It goes to show how fun our sport is!!  An 80 year old woman is bass fishing and doing great, lets face it, she wants to enjoy life, and finds bass fishing the best way to do it.  I have to say I would be grateful to fish with her.  Probably would be more fun than the regular joe I imagine, Does she use a baitcaster?
