I just got back from the Classic just a few minutes ago.  It was pretty awesome.

I wasn't too surprise with Boyd Duckett winning since he fishes Lay so much I am sure.  Hes from just down the street from here.

I was really hoping Terry McWilliams would win!!!!  He almost had me in tears.

He deserves everything he gets that was just plum stupid no matter if he was waved through or not. I like skeet telling him it was ok to have a brain fart.

Well, at least KVD placed 3rd   :)

Swindle had a major brain fart!  I don't care how long he's been driving a boat. Even if it would have been a Fleet Admiral waving him on, rules are rules.  What he did comes under the heading of the "self-inflicted" catagory.

I was rather disappointed with the coverage from ESPN.  I understand it's probably very costly to try and film something like that live....but to have it on late at night just didn't seem right. They should have aired it live at the weigh-in live.  It didn't come on here until 9pm, and by the time they got to the end I was actually dozing in and out on the couch   :sleepy

If ESPN will spend the money to show eating contests, spelling bees and whatever else the y can surely afford to show the Classic. And again, the hours it was aired were terrible. >:(

I watched the weigh in on line under the espn site but yes the coverage on it was pitiful everyone I've read about is complaining about it. Would  they do the  super bowl like that No they wouldn't so why do the superbowl of fishing that way.

We all know it?s connected to money. If the fishing sponsors were paying out as much as their golf counterparts I think the coverage would improve.
