CBR903C

Bantam1  Have you ever used this rod?

I'm looking for a good trap rod and dd22 rod.  I need something that will cast extremely long distance for the gin clear lakes.

I have not used this rod. If this is going to be more of a DD22 rod then i would look at the CBR906. The DD22 weighs closer to an ounce and has a ton of resistence in the water. The heavier rod will be much better. I have played with this rod and it feels like a longer CBR847. My only dislike is the short handle.

The Shimano option is the Cumara CUC711MH. I made this rod specifically for DD22's and I assure you it will cast one a long ways. I fish nothing but gin clear lakes where I am. I know exaclty what you are talking about.

how does that rod handle a 1/2oz trap or yozuri drum?
Same ? on the 906?  I think the 906 would be better bet from what you are saying.
It seems that my whole fishing arsenal has changed.  I use to fish almost all muddy lakes.  Now its almost all tap water lakes.

Are you ripping the traps through grass or just open water?

The 903 would be better for open water.  I would prefer the heavier 906 for ripping grass. They eat the traps pretty well when you do that so a heavier rod will not decrease your hook up ratio.

I think I will jump to the CBR906C.  I do more DD22 fishing then trap.
