Chronarch SF

Bantam1.  I have a older gold colored chronarch sf.   I have a problem with the drag/clutch slipping when I set the hook on a fish.  it seems that it releases instead of locking up on the reverse.  Any ideas?   its been awhile since I've cleaned it.  Or could grease in the wrong spot cause this?

hey gman, most likely, your a/r bearing is bad or has had some gunk make it's way to it.

Excess grease/oil can cause the bearing to slip. You can try cleaning it with some q-tips and rubbing alcohol. If this doesn't fix it then it will need to be replaced. Personally I would replace it and move on. Cheap insurance especially if you fish tournaments.
