I've never done that before.

I have fished some hidden weight and I like them.  Makes a great Smallie spinnerbait.

They (Assassinators) are nice quality lures for the price.  Still, not exactly what I want.   I do like them though and look forward to trying them.  For $5 each, I've definitely paid more for less in the past!  As far as factory baits go, I do like Stanley's and these are as good or better...just a little different.

Stanley does make a great spinnerbait.  My favorite factory one is a nichols.

I like the Nichols too.  Just not a fan of the blades, but they have a perfect head shape  ;).  They (the blades) look fine new but all mine kind of faded or hazed the clear coat they use on the blades after awhile.  I only have one left and haven't used it in years now.

Last year I bought a Northland Reed Runner Pro Series model to try.  Not happy with that one.  Hook point took on a burr (wtf.. on a spinnerbait?), blade finish is junk and got all splotchy.  Don't remember what I paid for it but whatever it was, it was too much.  Thumbs down from me!

Thats not good.  I havent had a problem with the ones I have but I've had a few other brands do that.  The brass blades are the worse for me.

Are you saying the plating on the brass blades goes bad easier?

I've never tried that before Jeff.  Sounds interesting.
