One can never have too many jigs.  I just got through making 28 dozen finesse jigs for my reserve box for my fall trip to Pomme de Terre.  I would rather have too many than run out of any color pattern.

That's why I have the top row I ran out of black and brown heads so I made 24 black 4 blue and rest brown.

Exactly.

I made a bunch of heads awhile back and have them all ready for skirts.  They are just waiting for their turn for a swim.

Gman do you use the pliers or what and how do you get the skirt collars on the pliers without making the thumb hurt after a few of them.?
Awsome you will never fish them all. Hopefully I will sell a bunch of them

But I bet you enjoy making them. Yes I do it gives me something to do while indoors cause it's to hot to be outside or something to do at work when it is slow.

one I like to have best one
http://www.americananglers.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10144/skirt_tool_1.jpg

here's another one better one
http://www.americananglers.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10144/skirt_tool_2.jpg

I have the pliers now that I bought at BPS and they have the ends bent and not a point on them a blunt end and makes it hard on thumb to put on the collar

When I make craw jigs, I use the living rubber most of the time instead of skirts.  It is a lot more economical and I can choose the color pattern I want. I wrap them on with copper wire and never have a band that will rot on me.
