I was fooling around just after the holiday's last winter and decided I wanted an inline spinner for early season bassin. Well I got to building and my polar opposite took over again and wound up creating another off-the-wall lure.
I threw it in my tackle box and forgot all about it until 2 weeks ago. I've been using it the last 2 weeks and this thing will flat out find fish for you. I haven't caught a ton on it, but some, but I get a ton of bites on it, so I really use it as a bird dog lure and follow it up with a jig, tube or senko knock-offs with a great success.
It's a twin spin spinnerbait. The hook is a #4 treble with the bottom facing down hook removed, zonker strip trailer (love it), watermelon candy skirt with a few pearl strands mixed in. In a nice sun lit day the pearl has a really nice sky blue hue to it. Not completely weedless, but I'm happy with how it comes thru most of the time. The #3 gold and nickel blades are a great compliment to each other and can be fished painfully slow or burned without over torguing the bait. One of the best surface bulging spinnerbaits I've used in a long time and has more of a "whir" sound coming thru the water instead of a "chop" sound that is usually present with overhead spinnerbaits on the market.
Here it is:

The blade configuration:

Each blade is on it's own clevis, that are interlocked on the shaft.
It's still a prototype, but after fishing it so far, I have some ideas as to how to make it a little better. I'll keep you posted if you want.
Whatcha think?
