Same old same old or change a bit
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:29:59 AM »
My main tube color is green pumpkin with black flake.  In the last several years there has been a lot or red mentioned even to red hooks.  So I got to thinking would a very good tried and proven bait be even better if it had a bit of red added to it.

Here are some tubes.  The top one is what I buy the other two I made this morning in the garage while Red was reading the paper.

A lot of guys use the gp with purple after the spawn.  I always have stuck the the gp/blk glitter.  Do you mean purple instead of the red or both?

Smoke/purple.  That is a unique idea.  Do you mean smoke bodies with purple flake?

Yes sir..   Smoke with purple flake.  Its a good color for me.

Take out the red and use purple flake.  It works alot better for me.  Especially in tubes and creature baits.

JM, sometimes when the water is stained, usually when it's a little warmer too this color (green pumpkin green flake) is sometimes the difference between catching some or not on post frontal days. Here's a sample look at  the color....

Maybe it'll work that way for your tubes

click on one of the pics. That bright green is what i'm speaking of.
