Snow day
« on: January 20, 2011, 04:49:12 PM »
The postman brought my new stinger tail shad body mold about 30 minutes ago.  I have been playing in the garage and it is working great so far.

They are 2".  We have been using the Bobby Garland baby shad bodies this fall/winter.  They have been way the best of any baits we have used.  I tried to make a mold for 2 days and nothing ever worked.  When I found the mold on the net I decided to go for it.

Those colors are just the root beer and chart. I had left over from making tubes.  The first batch was the rb.  Then I shot some chart and cut the belly off, put them back in the mold and shot the rootbeer again.  I like that well enough that I melted down some drop shot worms and did the red/chart.

Man, those are sweet ! Are you rigging those on a leaded jig head or dropshotting ?  My project in the barn looks like this.

Notice the tutorial laying there so I can put it back together. LOL !

JIg head from 1/16 to 1/4 normally depending on depth.

I brake my reels down and clean them but usually not quite that far.  I hope everything goes back where it belongs.
