I have used Sevelon and Surflon vinyl coated braided steel leader wire in 90# test from BPS and Cabela's.  In Feb I was at Cabela's in KC and they didn't have any.

So when I got home  I ordered 2 pks of MALON-7 from BPS.  They don't carry it in the local mkt so the kid in the fishing dept. ordered it in for me from one of their stores on the east coast.  It cost me $4.99 for a 30' roll.  I only use 1" at a time so that is cheap.

I use it in all my molds that won't take a big weedguard.  I have customized my tube insert molds to take it also.

Yes my little Dremel tool and I made a small incision for the wire.   I also have some set up for itty bitty crappie jigs that take one filament of weedguard but that is a whole other topic and it is done after painting.

I also like to use it on my 1/8 oz PT slot.  I use it with those 5" sticks from the mold you sold me.  I also use it on 1/8 oz swim jigs.   I like it bettet than fg 1/2.

Note the gray duct tape.   It keeps all flash out and never seems to get hot.
