buying reels off e-bay?

have any of you guys had luck buying reels from e-bay? there is a guy on there selling new,very high end, reels (w/out box) for VERY cheap. the guy has a 98.9% positive rating but i'm not sure. i REALLY want to pick up one of these reel  :chimp :monk2

There could be something wrong with it.Make sure you read every fine print he has on that page.

If anything you can send it to a few online reel mechanics and they'll have it purring like new.

I just recently got a trion for $40 and i'm sensing the brakes and drags need to updated or changed out soon.
Magic lures don't exist.

Haven't bought a reel but have bought a few rods with no problems.

Hey Y'all,

     I buy most of my reels from e bay.
 What to look , good rating, good return policy(printed on site, pay-pal , and quick response to e mailed questions.
I don't buy rods on there as a rule of thumb, and only because there is so many places to buy them locally.I don't buy lures from there as they tend to get expensive with shipping and all, and that ends up not being such a great deal, unless they are collectable, and I don't have many of them, I would rather fish them. If you want a few names to try  let me know , as I have saved dealers that offer good deals .
