Natural shad color, or one that looks as close to the natural prey item for the area for clear water.

I have grown too lazy to fish cranks much but I basically only use craw, white, chart, silver in any color of water.

The only clear water you'd find around here would be in the tub.    :wormy

The only one I can think of right now is for Ratl' Traps and that would be chrome/blue back. I don't use cranks as much as I probably should.

Huh! I must have left the back door unlocked. Look who snuck in….Welcome CL.

I know everyone is a fan of Bill Dance so……on one of his “Did you know” segments he stated that a round silver bait will reflect the surrounding’s while a flat silver bait will reflect the available light.

Sexy shad,...the shiny one when the sun shines and the whitish one when the sun doesn't shine!

I also used to have a small translucent perch colored jerkbait that got hit so much that one of the hook loops eventually popped out!
If you're a fisherman, ya gotta fish!
