diawa advantage reels
« on: November 28, 2005, 09:47:33 PM »
what is your input on the diawa advantage baitcaster I can't afford to buy the tdz I don't want to spend $300 on a reel $150 is the most i can go on them. I'm looking into buying 2 baitcasters and 1 to 2 rods so I can't afford to buy the high dollar reels but still want to get good quatlity and service out of it. :-\

I would get a curado 100 or 200. I prefer the 100 because of the smaller profile.

Me too, thats why I asked what he is using now.   If he is not already using a
Curado that was what I was going to suggest.

i dont know about the reel you are refering to but i have a daiwa cv-z 250 that is about the most amazing reel i have ever owned or even used( i think you can get them pretty reasonable priced now(ebay)). for the money though, you CANT go wrong with the curado; great dependable and very versatile reels.

I mostly use spinning but wanting to change over I have two curados now but the super free 200's is getting harder to find since the new ones came out and I've decided that I didn't want the new ones I'm going to bass pro tomorrow and check out the reels there We have a new one opening up tomorrow so I'm going to go check things out and look around. Bass pro don't have the super frees listed on their site no more that I can see. If I could find one maybe I'd get one but cabelas is sold out Tackle warehouse has them but still regular price May have to order one tomorrow if BPS don't have anything I'm interested in.? The ones I'm looking for is the 200BSF right hand. I'm wanting the 6.2:1 gear ratio to

well guys I just bought 2 curados Super Frees 2005 models at the grand opening of BPS in serville Tenn so next time you come down or up to visit gatlinburg or pigeon forge to dollywood you can drop the wife off at the malls and then drive about 15 miles to the BPS and do your shopping It's off the interstate off of 40 so see ya there

I own both a supertuned TDA(advantage) and a 100 series Curado.  I like them both about the same.  They are both very reliable reels that perform great.  You'll definitely enjoy your Curados.  I know I have.
