Depends on the jig for me. If I'm swimmin a jig, its a white-ish or shad colored from first light till 8 or so, then I'll go to a green pumpkin or watermelon, then to blk-blue later in the morning.
If I'm fishing a shakey head type, its always green.

If its a finesse jig, or a football head, I try to match whatever color the crawfish are. ( Yes, I spend some time around the launch turning over rocks looking for crawdads and taking their pic.)

Brown and orange jigs(ummph!, ummph!, ummph!) One of the worst selling colors in the entire world yet one of the best high pressure jigs that you just can't keep a secret. :)

Time after time after time, I have used that very jig on (B.P.)high pressure days post (spawn to early summer) when the bite seems awfully, awfully slow. I dont fish it real shallow, mainly 6 to 15 ' where the fish may have pulled back to because of the higher pressure and seasonal change. But I've found over the years that you have to work that jig ultra slow on those high pressure days. And when they bite, more than likely, it'll just get tight and move off. Other than that, I hardly ever use that color.

It's not my fav. though.

I've found myself using brown just about every outing now.My PB's have came off the brown ones using joe's brown trailers.

If it isn't brown it's green pumpkin i'm using.

However my jig box looks like a rainbow...Pink,red,purple,black,blue,green...and some other wild colors.

Cumberland Craw is my favorite.  Many jig companies have adopted this color like Omega, D&L, etc.

For the trailer, usually green pumpkin or watermelon/pepper.

Since I am kind of simple minded, I like to keep my craw jigs simple (brown with some extras in flashabou, black, black/blue, white, white/blue).  Now when it comes to bucktail swims that is a whole different story. ;D

I throw black jigs most of the time in any water and weather.
I do carry a few other colors that I throw when I don't want to catch anything,...but mostly it's black (or black with a very small amount of blue in the trailer).
If you're a fisherman, ya gotta fish!
