Floating worm
« on: December 22, 2009, 01:21:29 PM »
Looking for a good floating worm for shaky head fishing.Looking to stock up on a few.

I would really like that worm to float and stay up well...Anywhere from sizes 4"-7"

Well, what style you looking for.  I can make some floating stix 5.5", robo look alike either 5.5 or 4.5, or a 5.5" pointy tail.

I've been throwing alot of pointy tails before it got real cold in green pumpkin.  Works really good for me.

Its hard to beat the ones GMan (and Joe, used to make) makes.  Both the robo style and the finesse worms.

I would always get Joe to make me some without salt and they would really stand up.

I think that is a key to fishing a shakey head.  Get that tail floating as high as possible.  Keeps the head from rolling imo too.

Ha!  I will have you know, and buzzbait can confirm, I hardly even picked up a shaky head last season.

Still its the best fish catching bait out there!

Thanks for the suggestions guys...I got a general idea of what I'm looking for now.

Gotta put Gman's shakey jigs to good use.
