Guessy whaaaaat!?
« on: June 09, 2009, 08:42:55 PM »
heh, heh, heh ....I have found a buzzbait buried in the stuff to use Sat. in our tournament. I recently thought that I had used all of my inventory up. Nothing like having ONE left...it's half worn out though  ::2  :banger

I think I have found a few buzzbait components that are, or near, exact parts that I've been needing. Although I will not be able to come across some of the "unique" colors, I may have to come up with a way to duplicate the process to achieve what I need in that portion of the bait or just settle for something of the lesser.

Any good information on " at home" electroplating(sp?) out there anywhere? Anybody?

The downside: If the specs don't match up to what I need, it will be back to square one.

If all else fails, there might be a good chance I can make them myself from scratch, provided I find time to do that and it's monetarily worth doing. I'd much rather assemble purchased parts than make, paint, process unique parts and then assemble.

I have ants in my pants about all of this regardless ;D

Buzzbait,

I saw some Lunker Lure buzzbaits at a gas station in Centreville last weekend but I didn't know what to look for to see if they were the ones you like. The next time I go I will look at them so tell me how I will know if they are the ones you like and I will get them for you.

G, right now I am attempting to patch up some of my old lunker lure buzzbaits. I will for sure need blades and of course the rivet. The blade however is unique to what is normally available. If I buy a small amount of the correct size blades within the desired specs I will have to figure out a way to further process them to final specs. I only used the regular(plain) aluminum blade on a few of the chartruese baits and the other color blades on the others that I have(Remember, L.L. baits had alot of "colored" blades as well as the common ones (e.g; gold, silver. copper.) To get down to the nitty-gritty of things, If i find pretty much what i'm looking for as far as the blades go, I'll be trying to mainly mock one particular color and it's an annodized color. No need in me trying to explain the color because I can't explain what color it is ;D...kind of a funny looking color :scratch

If I can find most all the parts that I have set out to find, all of the components to build, I might just build a few to see how they turn out. When exactly will this happen!?...depends on the parts and my time(that I come up short on alot of times).

My wife's 10 year class reunion is Sat in Nashville. I really want to fish this weekend. I went out to the lake Sunday to try a few things out and they are working. I was pumped and then she reminded me of her reunion and I didn't even have the chance to ask if I had to go. Needless to say I won't be there.
