I don't use jigs much either, but should give it more time also.

I use the 3/8 oz the most too. Yep fellas, you might want to learn how to use the jig. I love it. ;) Basser, get someone who knows how to go with you and start around some timber/stumps or other type of cover.

I mainly use a 3/8 oz but also use a 1/2 oz alot of the time too, for deeper water or windier places to keep better feel of the bait.

Stay focused on little fish, they're easier to catch and you will catch more of them. Jigs are boring, bites are far and few between and if you fish where jigs are most effective, you'll lose them.

Leave the big fish alone, they don't want to be bothered.

Hun?

Gloomisman, That little guy is hilarious!

Okay, seriously. Jigs are the #1 big bass lure. If you want to improve your game, jigs have to be be a part of the package.

My opinion would be to start with some finesse jigs like PJ's Lil jigs with a good ol 2" Joes Jig Trailers chunk.   They dont fish too much different than a worm.

I figured you were just teasing to stirr it up a little.  The way you worded that I thought was hilarious too.  ::2

Thanx for all the replys.   I'll have to pick up some of those PJ's Jigs and some joes trailers.

So I should stick with the good old Black and blue to start?   Any other colors to maybe try?
