Thanks I'll have to give it a shot ;)

My major concern with putting braid on this rod is the sensitivity, With the mono on it now I'm on edge every cast, it is unbelievably sensitive, it really keeps you on your toes :o As someone posted on the outdoors with braid I might pick up radio frequencies with this thing. LOL

I just put some braid on and was casting in the back yard. I see myself setting the hook about 2,000 times tomorrow. LOL sensitive is not even close to describing it.
I was also suprised how quiet the braid was, The review on tackle tour said it might not be a good idea to put braid on because of the noise with the braid going through the nickel titanium line guides, the only noise I heard was the line going through the line guide on the reel.

I just switched to braid a couple months ago and now all my rods but one have it spooled up,
but one thing I noticed was that it's so sensitive that you can distinguish the difference between a hit and the bottom/sticks etc.
I was wondering about the reel magic and how it effected the braid? I was always worried it would soften, or eat at it somehow..

JM:  I found out some of the noise is from the reel and not the braid.  It made the same(although less) noise with Maxima mono on it yesterday.  It's going to Nutter's Reel Service Monday.
