Jumbo senko-type worms
« on: January 19, 2009, 04:02:31 PM »
Just got an order in from a friend of mine that has a small business making senko knock-offs (called FishStix).  In addition to the usual 4 and 5" sizes he also makes some jumbo size ones,..7" & 10" in case anyone is looking for some.
He also does custom colors and can make them with or without salt (if you want floaters).  Anyway, just wanted to give him a plug incase anyone is in the market for some! (His website is jigheadlures.com in case you cannot read it off the pic)

A couple of years back I bought some Stick-os in the 7” version. It takes at least a 6/0 hook for these bad boys. They were really thick!
Those look good.  :monkey

The guy that makes them claims that it's tough to have confidence in them at first,..but the 10" ones will still get bit by surprisingly small bass.  (although he sells most of them to striper fishermen..)

My $.02,..
In person, the 10" ones just look silly,....however the 7" ones look great and I'm sure I'll do well with them!  I got some of the no-salt versions thinking to use them on sort of a bubba-sized shakey head rig!
(I'll let you guys know how they work once my waters warm up a tad!! ::))

Wow! that's big, I made a plaster mold of a 8" I think it was senko type and the thing just looked ridiculously big, I will probably never use it. Can't imagine a 10" version :o
