woods & water. they are beautiful. the reel seat is tiny and they have the feel of a pretty decent worm rod.

E_, Sounds like something I would be interested in, huh!? ;)

I don't have any Okuma rods yet, but I do have one of their reels. It's my ultra light rig and it's as smooth as silk!

They do seem to put a bit of quailty into their products!!

If I get a chance, I'm going to go check them out!

Thanks for the info, E_.

i have serviced one okuma spinning reel and i have to say, the quality and design was top notch. not overly complex, but sophisticated still....nice stuff

i bought one of these today and fished for ~2 hrs with spinnerbaits. it did really well, certainly a great rod for the $$. i also checked out some of the more expensive new okuma rods. they cost about $150 and feel phenomenal......really nice stuff(i wish i could have afforded one!)

any way, these rods are definitely worth a try....especially at $50! really a bargain IMO.

I'm guessing the new okuma is the concept 3?

Sorry should have worded that one better. The $150 more expensive ones....you mentioned you checked them out as well. Was wondering which $150 ones you might have gotten to held and feel a little.

I've got my eyes dead set on the okuma concept C3 rod paired with a shimano curado 200E7.

ohhhhh, i see.....sorry. is the c3 a slim blank green rod that runs about $150? if it is the one i checked out today, it is def. worth the $$$ imo! very nice feel and very light rod. plus, it would look fantastic with the e7

well, bad news for the reflexions rod...i'm taking it back. it fished fine, felt great. but one of the guides was out of alignment, which isn't a huge deal to me as it's easy for me to fix. but, the tiptop's insert fell out today!! and that=crap

Sorry you have to take the rod back, but those are problems that I think warrant returning it.  Let us know how the return goes.
