Ryobi?
« on: September 06, 2010, 07:43:41 PM »
Found a rod and the brand name is Ryobi model RS 267 I have never heard of that make of rod before. Have any of you guys?
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

I thought they made tools.

i don't know if they still do, but they used to make pretty nice tackle.

That color seems to resemble the Qauntum Energy. Anyway, that's a nice looking reel.

My first baitcaster was a Ryobi V-Mag and it had a rod to match .   It was the best rod I have ever owned.  Unfortunalty it broke many years ago.

That was 30 years ago that I bought that.

that reel was released in 2000(well before the energy) and had a list price of ~$400  :o

apparently, it is a special edition of the ryobi various and it is said that each one's color was slightly different from the others. also, they are out of the tackle bussiness all together for a while now.

they are in the Aussie market but I think most of their rods/reels are for saltwater

I thought I spotted those on an american website just the other day but I haven't been able to relocate it in the past hour or so. I'll continue to look, intermittently  ;D.
