Shimano rod ?
« on: February 01, 2006, 09:33:15 PM »
I have a 6' 6" Shimano FXS 66MB2, Medium, fast action rod that I hardly use.  It might be because I have an inexpensive Shakespere Durango spinning reel on it  ::) . Thinking about getting a Quantum Kinetic PTi-A spinning reel for it.  How do y'all think that'll match up as far as fishibility (is that a word?, lol).

I see no reason why that reel won't match-up just fine with that rod, and should provide you with alot of fishing enjoyment for some years. Tight lines, Rob!

Look into the Daiwa spinning reels.  They've got fantastic spinning reels, and I like their casters as well.

Jason,
I've never tried Diawa reels, but will certainly take a look at them.  Thanks.  :)
