So senko duders
« on: February 23, 2010, 10:47:43 AM »
What am I missing from my arsenal for clear water vegetationless fishing.

I have to stop somewhere instead of like my do-nothins of which I have 27 colors.

you are missing the most famous Gman color.  White with gold, black and silver glitter

I think all your missing is the white as Gman said.   Maybe also bubblegum.

So can you be a bit more specific on the recipe like white 4 oz and how much of each glitter or perhaps a pic would work?

So it is pearl instead of white?  I don't have any pearl.

it does have some white pearl to it.  Not much though.  That dang little white senko slays the spots in clear water around docks.  Its about the only color I throw.

Yes, some sort of whitish one is a must and a pink one is good sometimes, especially prespawn.   But the two I throw the most are black with blue flecks and green pumpkin/black flecks. 8)

OK I found some pearl trailers and remelted them so I have the whitish/pearlish one.  Now for the pink, any glitter, if so what color?

Nice looking stick there Jigman.

And no.  Someone needs to work. ;D

One color that worked real good once for me was a watermelon back with a silver bottom. :o

OK  I might do the smoke/purple but how about that pink?   Any flake or just butt ugly pink or maybe a translucent pink or some other color with a pink core shot?

OH and Mike are we talking the same smoke/purple as the tubes I sent you?

yup same smoke purple.  Good smallie color

Pink? I would take red and white and mix them together till I got pink.  Just straight old butt ugly pink.  No flake or anything.  I've tried flake in pink lure making.  Looks worse.

I've had some pink jerkbaits with silver glitter and never caught jack with them!Solid (opaque,..just like bazooka bubblegum) pink seems to work best when they're on that color!
BTW,..I've never tried it,..but I've heard of some pros throwing pink spinnerbaits and buzzbaits as well!
