Do any of you all make spinnerbaits? I had one a friend of mine made several years ago that was great. But...it got mangled and finally was put out of commission. It was a short-arm spinnerbait with a single Colorado blade.

I make some once in a while.  I like the Sloan single spin so I used one as a pattern and cut some of my wires down to make them look like it.

I've bought bodies from Janns Netcraft and added my own blades and skirts if that counts.

I've modified alot of mine too. I know wal-mart has had a short-arm s.b. with a colarado blade on it they cant keep in stock!! The old .99 ones.

Here's one that was "HOT" back in the day .....

http://www.hhlure.com/originalhhsinglespinner.html

Strike King Midnight Premiere s.b.'s might be worth the look to. I do agree with JM on the Zorro's, they are daaandy baits!

I bought some of those hidden weight spinnerbaits not long ago.  They make one heck of a cool bait.

Best I remember, our Academy Sports store has some H&H spinnerbaits but I think they are 1/4oz. Are you sure someone just didn't buy them out or the company has just scaled down several stages? I order H&H skirts for my old Buzzbaits by the card every once in a while, but it has been awhile(last part of last year). They better not be gone!!  :o   :bite ;D

:tick .....Kicked in the head again!

We don't have Academy here.Otherwise i would have brought out their entire selection of those spinnerbaits and H2O crankbaits every week. I spend nearly $200 worth every time i hit it down in Texas....lol.

You might send this guy an e-mail and request a catalog.

kennydunavan@yahoo.com

He is operating a small business which is called Billy Phillips Lure Co.and I bought some buzzbaits from him recently. They were different from anything I can buy around here and reasonable price too.  He included a catalog with my order and it appears he has several spinnerbait models available also.

I was looking for a particular style of buzzbait and this was reccomended to me. I did get a different buzzbait but it wasn't the exact type I was looking for.

Cut, they say made in China right on the box.  I don't remember who told me or I where I read the designer was an ex LC designer, so that may not be accurate, but I did hear it somewhere.

I heard that the H2O crankbaits were made by the same company that make LC hardbaits. A buddies uncle did some reaserch on where and who they were made by. He said that the lure designers are either old LC employees or they buy them from the company that makes the baits and have someone paint them.
