strike king customer service is........
« on: September 19, 2008, 03:03:39 PM »
GREAT!!! i had a strike king 'king shad' break on me (at the joint) after only one or two times out to my pond. so, i called the company. they were very polite and even better, they stood by their product and are sending me a new, apparently better built, king shad free of charge! great company to deal with.  :)

I had some issues with their "Sexy Spoon" and had to contact them.  Chris Brown at Strike King had three brand new ones out to me that week.  They are good!

ha, thats the same guy i talked to. great service, but i did try to get them by email and got no response; but they were quick to help when i called.

on a side note, other fishing related companys that i have recieved similiar fantastic service from are daiwa and shimano (both sent me parts for free!!! one malfunctioned(curado guide pawl) and one i just lost!) :D

not so good service: bass proshops( though i still do bussinss with them) and abu garcia. for abu garcia: i was cleaning a reel and lost an e-ring. so, i called them up and they were very rude and charged me a butt-ton for shipping for a part smaller than your pinky nail! so, i ask this rude lady-'will the shipping be the same if i go ahead and buy like four of these things?' she says(very abruptly)-'NO, shipping is per part!'. so, i paid like ten bucks for a friggen near microscopic e-ring... >:(

thanks buzz. i looked a few places for the e-ring before i called the company, and it seemed to be a real odd size. i guess probably didnt look hard enough.

man it was a strange little booger. absolutly tiny! i dropped it on an old wood floor and searched for it for a good hour before i decided to buy one. calling the company was a last resort (infact, calling that company will from now on be a LAST resort!)

I think you got a rep that didn't know what was going on.  My Dad ordered about 10 pawls from Abu and had to pay one flat shipping fee for all of them.
