Swimming Senkos
« on: December 28, 2006, 11:17:08 AM »
I recently bought a pack of swimming senkos.  THey look cool and have seen Gary Yamamotto catch a load of four pounders at Kentucky lake.  The thing is that I don't know how to fish them.  Does anybody have some tecniques for these lures?
Thanks
David

You can fish it weightless, on a 5/0 offset wide gap hook, or using the same hook with a screw-in worm weight, fish it with a weight. A slow steady retrieve is best, allowing the tail to wiggle and give-off vibrations. An occasional pause in the retrieve would also be a good idea. Cast it into and around cover, and bring it back slow and steady, with the occasional short pause to give it an erratic swimming action. Good fishin' and catch a bunch,
Rob

Where?s Lighting Rod?
He was the first person I saw mention these baits, and even though he said he wasn?t to impressed with them he sure seemed to be catching a lot of fish with them.

I've never used them yet, but plan on trying them this coming season.   :)
