swivels and soft jerkbaits
« on: July 30, 2008, 07:23:33 AM »
I recently went fishing with someone that tied a small swivel inline, about a foot above his superfluke and I thought it was a terrific idea.  Does anyone else do that,...(or does EVERYONE else do that and I just never paid attention before ::) ;D)??
If you're a fisherman, ya gotta fish!

I've done that for quite awhile.  It keeps the line from curling up and adds a bit of weight.  Works great.

Next time your trying soft jerk baits try this rig with a senk-o style bait. It has produced 30 fish days.
BTW, Pay Attention!  ;D

Yep, I don't use them often but when I do they normally get a swivel ;)

Like said above it also adds a slight bit of weight, not much but every bit helps.

I have never used a swivel before with a jerkbait, but after reading this I'm going to next time.

It is a good idea to use a swivel in vurrent and with any bait that puts a twist in your line. ;)

Now if ya wanna take it a step further you can use 2 swivels and make a double fluke rig.
