Tungsten weights

I'm looking through a catalog at these and wondering which brand is better or is there really a difference between Excalibur or True-tungsten.  Excalibur is about .50 cheaper and looks the same.  Whats your thoughts?

Until last year I was using the Excaliber. Then a guy posted on a board about the teflon sleeve inserts in the excaliber causing line twist and heat on the fishing line itself, and said they were no good because of that, but that Tru Tungsten had no inserts and were polished smooth inside and did not cause that problem. So my roommate was setting here and says, "let's find out!" and goes on Cabela's and ordered some Tru Tungsten weights. To make a long story short, once we got them we both put them to the test out on the water. The outcome was; 1 we never had any of the above mentioned problems with Excalibers and their inserts, 2 we could never tell any difference between the Excalibers and the Tru Tungsten weights, 3 No discernible difference in the sensitivity transmitted to our hands by either the Excaliber and the Tru Tungsten, and lastly 4 I still use Excaliber tungsten worm weights to this very day. Anyway that is my experience with both, hope it's helpful to you in some way. Rob

i use the excaliber and think they are great.isn't it amazing how so much misinformation gets around?sometimes you just have to do what you did and find out for yourself!!! ;D

I've got Lake Fork, Excalibur and BPS.  The LF & Excalibur I have used, but I just got the BPS Tg's.  Last year the BPS Tg's looked just like the Excalibur and this year they look just like the Tru-Tg's ::)

The Tru/BPS weights are rounded offon the top of the weight instead of a hard turn where the weight starts downsizing.  I'm not sure, but they look like they might slide thru cover better.
