2 part question.  What are you using if you use tungsten?

I use bps and another kind with the inserts.

Second part.  How in the world do they make them?  I'm thinking its compressed under pressure since the melting pt is about 6k.

i really like the lake fork brand tungsten weights. if you haven't tried tungsten, you should. i really dont ever use lead anymore for my bullet weights. the tungsten is tons more sensitve and a good deal smaller.

i am thinking of giving one of the companies a try:

also, i found a neat trick for dealing with the sometimes questionable edges of tungsten weights:

"You can solve the "hole" problem rather simply with some heat-shrink tubing and a little epoxy. Doesn't take long and protects your line/knot better than ANY Tg weight that doesn't have a sleeve...including Tru-Tg.

You can get the small heat-shrink at just about any electronics store or online. You just cut about a 2" peice of tube and go ahead and shrink 3/4" on one end so you can poke it through the hole and grab it on the other side. Then you put a small amount of epoxy on the unshrunk end and use the shrunk end to pull the unshrunk end into the hole...then trim off the excess and you're done. Works like a charm every time. You can do enough weights to last a full season in a couple of hours...IF you can keep your buddies from "mooching" them off ya!"

I'm gonna drill holes in rocks and use them. (boing!) PP's True-camo worm weight system, lol. I'll check those links out in the very near future E. Thanks for posting those as I will soon have to obtain some i'm sure.
