Update on the Loomis rods first run
« on: March 22, 2010, 08:11:31 AM »
Well I took the Crankbait rod and small mouth rod out for the first run.

The CBR906 is an excellent cranking stick for traps.  You can cast a 1/2 oz trap a mile. Or pretty close too it.  Smooth easy fishing rod.  So far I'm impressed.

The Smallmouth rod is a 7'7" spinning in the soft plastic version.  This rod fishes a shaky head with perfection.  Extra long casts and extra control and feel.

SO far I'm impressed with both of them.

Very nice.   I have never even used a Gloomis.   One of these days maybe I can try one.

Jack as many of them as he has, you'd better take at least a two week vacation if you are going to try them all. >:D

;D  I would love to come up there and go fishing, but my wife gets mad if I even go 5 min from the house to fish.   ::)
