What a long way to wind up where I started
« on: February 23, 2010, 05:02:15 PM »
Hey Fellas; I have fished for many years, over 40. In the last 12 yeqars it has been a lot more for LMB than anything else ,because i moved from Brooklyn to PA>
Over the last 6 years I really went nuts switching Equipment, and this was fed by a lot of reading on other forums, I got swept up in a herd mentality, my fault, I almost ruined a good thing

I was fisrt a spin fisherman only, Mitchell 300's, ABU Spin Casterrs  and Pflueger Presidents. Fenwick and Cabela rods

Then tried a few  baitcasters and rod types over the last 4 seasons

Pflueger Trions
BPS Extremes
BPS ProQualifiers
Browning Midas Reels

all were great, but not the ticket

rods You name it

Diawa Pyrocons
BPS Extremes, Johnny Morris ,Pro Qualifiers
All Stars
Cabelas fish Eagle II

Then Last year I picked up a used old school ABU round 5500 c's
 and I found my niche

Now I have 3 of the 5600 WS ( Whiffle Spool c'4's) and one size 50 Record
I have 3 of the New Cableas Pro Guide IM 6 rods ( 7ft;MH/Fast)
and one Custom Hand Wrap for some smaller swim baits that a rod warpper masde as a presenrt for me

Almost back where I started and content at last

Those C4's are a classic.  I cant use them with my hands but they are sturdy and do very well.

Like they say,  "History repeats itself"   ;D

And they said "YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK."

It's sometimes better to get back to your roots.
