Triton Boats
« on: July 29, 2010, 01:54:58 PM »
Well it appears that Triton Boat Co. has been purchased by Platinum Equities. This is the same company that purchased Ranger, Stratos, and Champion from Genmar recently.

Things just keep getting curiouser and curiouser.

It will be interesting to see what happens to all of them.  From what I have been hearing it seems that they are going to merge Stratos and Champion into something.

I have heard/read various rumors regarding different boat outfits and BASS. Wonder what is true? I guess we'll find out soon.

Champion by name is no more.   They are still pouring three of the Champion hulls at the Ranger factory, but it now has a Stratos sticker on it.   They are called the Stratos Champ Elite Series.    They just couldnt get rid of the three best riding hulls on the market!

Yea, I have to agree with you on that Jack. Rumors are all over the place. One I heard was using the Champ hull under a Stratos top cap. I'd be totally surprised if Champ hulls went out of production. I would sorta think all this positioning has to help Phoenix, Bass Cat and a few others.
